MACUNGIE (Pa.) -- The Delaware Valley University men's golf team competed in its first dual match of the fall season, but fell just short in a 334-329 final against conference foe DeSales University on Wednesday afternoon.
The two teams teed off at Brookside Country club under fair conditions with light wind. The course played to a par-71 at 6,534 yards with a slope of 132 and a rating of 72.1.
The Aggies team score of 334 was 50-over par.
Robby Meredith led the squad with a 10-over 81.
Jake Kinzer and
Ethan Saxe each posted an 84 (+13) and
Mark Gates followed close behind with a 14-over, 85.
Lucas Baldinger rounded out the DelVal team with a score of 92 (+21).
DeSales had the top-three finishers on the day as Andrew Benner carded a 77 (+6), Jimm Sapp shot an 80 (+9), and Kyle Chorzewski matched Meredith's 81.
The Aggies will be back in action on Friday October 22nd as it concludes the fall season at the Arcadia Invitational at Turtle Creek Golf Club.
