LIMERICK (PA)--- The Delaware Valley University men's golf team traveled to Turtle Creek Golf Club for their final tournament of the season at the Arcadia Invitational and came home in eight place out of 15 competing teams.
Teams teed off in a cool 61 degrees with light wind. The course played to a par-72 at 6,702 yards with a slope of 130 and a rating of 70.6
The Aggies finished with a team score of 333, which was 45-over par. Mark Gates paced the Aggies with a 5-over 77, which tied for 10th overall. Robby Meredith was right behind Gates as he finished at 6-over for a 78. That scored tied Meredith for 14th overall. Ethan Saxe finished with an 87 (+15), while Jake Kinzer and Ryan Foley finished with a 91 (+19) and 94 (+22) respectively.
The low rounds for Gates and Meredith marked career lows for each. Meredith broke his previous mark of 79 last year, while Gates surpassed his previous best of 85 by eight strokes earlier this season.
Stevens Institute of Technology took home the team title with a team score of 301 (+13). The Ducks were led by Eddie Sot, who took home his fourth career individual title by shooting a 2-under 70, the only golfer in the field to finish under par. Â
