As part of ongoing evaluation and strategic planning within the athletic department, the men's  and women's tennis programs will be discontinued. Historically small roster sizes and insufficient recruiting interest played a role in the difficult decision. The department continues to identify resources and programs in support of a broad student experience. The conclusion came after a year-long evaluation of the department and with its stewardship of resources in mind. DelVal athletics looks forward to continued support and growth of its 24 intercollegiate sports including 12 women's teams, 10 men's teams, and two co-ed equestrian programs.
