DOYLESTOWN (Pa.) – The Delaware Valley University women's basketball team concluded the 2019-20 campaign at home with an 87-34 setback to Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom front-runner DeSales University.
Before the game, the Aggies honored their two seniors
Laura Sweger and
Sarah Wills as they made their final appearance for the DelVal women's basketball team.
The Bulldogs controlled the pace from the jump and outscored the home team, 44-13, in the first half. They put up another 43 points in the second while holding the Aggies to 21 to secure the runaway victory.
Wills and Sweger combined for three points and three rebounds and Wills added three blocked shots and a steal.
Lauren Moretti led the team with nine points to go with five boards and three steals and
Jordan Hyman pitched in six points.
Erin Buckman grabbed a team-best six rebounds to go with four points.
DeSales placed four players in double-digit scoring including Averi Jordan and Emma Stanfield who each had 13 to lead the way. Rylie Rittenhouse notched a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. The Bulldogs will enter the MAC Freedom postseason tournament as the number one overall seed and host either Eastern or Stevens Tech.
