DOYLESTOWN (Pa.) – The Delaware Valley University men's wrestling team hosted the University of Scranton and Camden County Community College in a tri-match on Thursday night and split the decisions. The Aggies fell to the Royals, 36-15, and defeated the Cougars, 27-15.
 
DelVal surrendered 24 points in each match due to forfeits, and could not overcome the deficit in the opening match against Scranton.
 
Senior Kordell Rush took care of business in his first match as he defeated the Royals' Anthony Clarizio with an 18-0 first period tech. fall.
 
Freshman Evan Widing, at 149 pounds, followed with a first period pin of Dante Simeti as he needed just 1:19 to do so.
 
At 197 pounds, Austin Williams earned a convincing 13-3 major decision over Kiel Pechko to round out the scoring for the Aggies.
 
In the second match of the night against Camden County, DelVal won three of the four contested matches for the 12 point victory.
 
Kyle Hillermeier bounced back with a pin at 184 pounds as he needed just 1:30 to overcome Chris Esposito. Williams got his second win of the day at 197 pounds when he pinned Zach Bohn late in the first period, and Youssef Ait-Boulahri went the distance with Caleb Corrigan and came out on top of the 9-3 decision.
