Box Score DOYLESTOWN (Pa.) -- The Delaware Valley University women's tennis team opened up its 2019-20 campaign at home against Cairn University on Thursday evening and came away with a 6-3 triumph as two freshman picked up their first career victories.
The Aggies defeated Cairn, 5-4, late last season during an April match in Langhorne, Pa. and they were able to duplicate the result again tonight with a new-look roster. Sophomore
Aubrey Errickson took the court at first singles and earned an 8-1 win, and fellow returner, senior Chloe Dennerlien won her match at fourth singles, 8-0.
Freshmen Allison Grzembski and Lindsey Elchelmeier picked up their first collegiate victories with wins at third and sixth singles, respectively. Grzembski took her match, 8-4, and Elchelmeier earned an 8-1 win. Junior

Miller Huertgen were defeated, 8-2 and 8-3, respectively.
In doubles play, Errickson and Grzembski teamed up for a 8-4 triumph while
Olivia Gorman and
Nicki Fox earned an 8-2 win. Dennerlein and Volov were downed, 8-6, at second doubles.
