WARRINGTON (Pa.) -- The Delaware Valley University men's golf team opened its 2019-20 season on its home course against Arcadia Unviersity but fell to the Knights by a score of 322-349.
Five Ponds Golf Course, the Aggies home track, played 6,672 yards from the blue tees and to a par of 71. The weather was perfect, winds were low, and the course was in good condition to open the season.
DelVal was led by freshman Harrison Cato who carded an 85 (+14) to earn fourth place overall in his first collegiate round. Jake Kinzer followed with an 87 (+16) and
Ryan Obes came in with an 88 (+17). Ryan Foley rounded out the team scoring with a round of 89 (+18).
Arcadia placed the top-three finishers led by Arturo Hernandez's six-over par, 77. Ryan O'Neill was one stroke behind with a 78 and Chris D'Alessandro carded a nine-over round of 80. Parker Wilson rounded out the team scoring for the Knights with an 87.
