DOYLESTOWN (Pa.) -- Delaware Valley University head fencing coach Marshal Davis completed three television interviews this week ahead of the United States Associate of Collegiate Fencing Clubs National Championships this weekend. 

In addition to his role as head fencing coach of the Aggies, Davis is President and Head Coach at Liberty Fencing Club in Warrington, Pa. His club is hosting the National Championships this weekend at the SPORTSPLEX in Bucks County this Saturday and Sunday. The two-day event is the largest fencing event in the country and will be the largest sporting event in Bucks County this year as 47 Colleges and Universities, and over 800 athletes, will be in attendance for the competition. 

In early September, DelVal announced that it was adding men's and women's fencing as intercollegiate NCAA sports with the intention to field a team starting with the 2019-20 season. Davis immediately began to put the program together, and is in the process of filling out his first recruiting class. This week, three different local news stations caught up with Davis for in-studio demonstrations to discuss the rules of fencing, and he fielded quesitons about the new fencing program at DelVal along with the upcoming USACFC event that he will be hosting this weekend.
