DOYLESTOWN (PA) – The Delaware Valley University men's tennis team won one of three doubles matches and that proved to be the difference as visiting Eastern University took the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom match, 5-4.
The Aggies fell to 2-10 and 0-2 while the Eagles improved to 3-4 and 1-2.
DelVal won the singles matches at the three through six spots. Ryan Lombardo needed a 10-6 win in the tiebreaker set to secure his victory while Nick Gaetano and Alex Vo won in straight sets. Gaetano, competing at fifth singles, won 6-1 and 6-2 and Vo got a pair of 6-0 wins.
Gaetano and Lombardo got the DelVal victory in doubles in 8-0 fashion.
The Aggies will be right back at it tomorrow as they host Gwynedd Mercy at 4 p.m.
