NASHVILLE (TN) – The Delaware Valley University wrestling team, ranked 19^th in Division III had little trouble on Saturday as it cruised to a trio of victories at the 2016 Gator "Boots" Duals. The Aggies recorded triumphs over University of Mount Union (27-16), Milikin University (34-10) and Luther College (29-12).
 
The wins improved DelVal to 4-2 in dual meets, including a perfect 4-0 mark against Division III squads.
 
The lower weight trio of Kordell Rush (125), Brenden Velez (133) and Tim Ambacher (141) each went 3-0 as they got DelVal off to a flying start in each match.
 
Rush, a freshman, picked up the biggest Aggie victory at the duals as he notched a 6-2 decision over 10^th-ranked Nick Mancini of Mount Union. He then added a technical fall win and a major decision to improve to a perfect 9-0 on the season and a possible spot in the top 10 when the next national rankings comes out.
 
Velez, a junior and returning national qualifier, had a technical fall, a fall and a major decision on the afternoon as he moved his season record to 12-5.

Ambacher, ranked fifth in Division III in his weight class, upped his mark to 14-3 thanks to a major decision and a pair of decisions.His first decision was a 6-2 triumph over eighth-ranked Alec Cotton of Mount Union. 
 
Seniors Sekou Harris (157), Ben Schweiger (174) and Zach Roseberry (285) were each undefeated in multiple matches at the Gator Duals. Harris had takedowns in overtime in both of his matches for wins number four and five on the year.
 
Schweiger, a returning national qualifier who is ranked as high as sixth nationally, pinned two of his foes and earned a decision over another to give him 17 wins in 24 matches this year.
 
Roseberry, the defending national champion and top-ranked heavyweight in Division III, ran his consecutive winning streak to 39 as he notched three wins on Saturday. Two of the triumphs were by major decision and he ended the day with a 5-2 victory over Luther's Keenan Feldpausch, who ranked as a contender by d3wrestle.com. Roseberry is now 19-0 on the season and he is in sole possession of seventh place on the school's all-time victory list with 112 (112-12). He is also fourth all-time in winning percentage with a .903 mark.  
 
While Roseberry and Rush are undefeated against all foes, Ambacher and Schweiger have not lost to a Division III opponent this season, giving the Aggies four wrestlers with that distinction through the first semester.  
 
Rob Duxbury (149) picked up victories over Mount Union and Luther. Austin Ross (165) and Chris Yocum (197) were triumphant against Milikin while Brandon Rudy (165) won by decision in the Luther match.  
 
The Aggies are off until Saturday, January 7 when they head to nearby Ursinus College for the North-South Duals.
