DOYLESTOWN (PA) – It was Senior Night at Delaware Valley College and the four seniors that competed for the 10
th-ranked Aggies all won their matches as they led the squad to a 22-13 triumph over No. 26 The College of New Jersey.
Delaware Valley concluded the dual meet season with an 11-3 record and will now prepare over the next two weeks for the NCAA East Regional Championships in Roanoke, Virginia on Sunday, March 1. The regional is one of the six qualifying tournaments across the country for the NCAA Division III Championships. Friday's loss dropped TCNJ to 12-8 on the year.
The Aggies honored their five seniors -
Vinny Fava,
Connor Gabriel,
Zac Haynes,
Alec Horan (did not wrestle due to an injury) and
Aaron Karns – prior to the start of the match. Haynes and Fava won early, but Delaware Valley found themselves down 13-9 heading into Gabriel's match at 184 pounds.
Gabriel got a takedown and a two-point near fall late in the first period for a 4-0 advantage over Dan Wojtaszek (9-4). More importantly, it pulled the Aggies to within one at 13-12 and put them in great shape with Karns and fellow nationally-ranked wrestler

Karns, ranked second at 197 pounds, was simply dominant in an 11-0 blanking of Nathan Leer (15-7) that put the Aggies ahead, 16-13. The win was the 25
th in 28 matches this season for Karns and it moved the two-time All-American into sole possession of fifth place on the school's all-time victory list with 114 career triumphs.
Roseberry, ranked sixth in Division III at heavyweight, added the exclamation point by pinning Evans Sasso (1-5) in just 97 seconds for the 22-13 final. The win lifted the returning All-American's record to 26-3 on the season.
The evening began with Delaware Valley's
Connor Kirkegard (20-7) using a reversal midway through the third period and riding time for a 5-2 decision over Kevin Corrigan (11-5) at 125 pounds. Haynes then gave the Aggies a 6-0 advantage as first-period late reversal gave him the lead for good in a 7-6 decision over James Goldschmidt (12-14) at 133. The win improved Haynes to 22-6 on the season.
The Lions got on the board at 141 as Ryan Budzek (22-6) registered an 11-1 major decision over Joshua DiSanto (8-14). Fava followed at 149 and the returning All-American and top-ranked wrestler in his weight class notched four takedown, one escape and riding time for a 10-4 triumph over Steve Schneider (6-5). The win was the 20

TCNJ took the next three weight classes to turn a 9-4 deficit to a 13-9 advantage. At 157, Antonio Mancella (21-8) notched a 13-6 decision over
Jeff Reimel (10-7). Kellen Whitney (8-4) followed with a 4-2 decision over Steve Acevedo (6-10) at 165 while top-ranked and undefeated Zach Zotollo (15-0) added a 10-3 triumph over
