DOYLESTOWN (PA) – Delaware Valley College, ranked fifth in Division III, won three of the final four weight classes to erase an 11-10 deficit and defeat Division II East Stroudsburg University, 21-15.
The Aggies improved to 10-2 on the season and have now won 24 consecutive home dual meets dating back to the 2005-06 campaign. They are also now 4-1 lifetime against the Warriors, who fell to 8-7.
East Stroudsburg took an 11-10 lead after Shane Mallory (20-6) notched a 23-7, technical fall victory over
Jake Phillips at 184 pounds. However, Delaware Valley was victorious in the next three bouts, including a pair of major decisions, to seal the match.
Martin Porter, ranked 10th in Division III, began the run with a 6-0 blanking of Ed Ebewo at 197 pounds and improved to 24-7 on the year.
Fellow senior
Kyle Bilquist hit the mat next and the two-time All-American and second-ranked heavyweight had four takedowns and a near fall, en route to a 13-3 major decision over Will Weaver and a 17-11 Aggie advantage. The win was the 21st in 24 matches this season for Bilquist and it was also the 120th of his career as he is now just two shy of tying current head coach and two-time national champion Brandon Totten for the school's all-time record.
Terrance Clendenin (1-1) made it a 21-1 match as he nearly had a pin in the opening minute of his 125-pound match and finished with a 12-1 major decision over David Luthy. East Stroudsburg's Andrew Arnold (14-4) ended the evening with a 12-4 major over
Eric McCann at 133 pounds for the 21-15 final.

The Warriors took the next two weights with decision to cut the Delaware Valley lead to 7-6. Thad Frick (21-9) posted a 5-3 victory over
Jesse Harrington, Division III's top-ranked Division III wrestler at 157 pounds, and Jeff Jacobs (19-11) followed with an 8-1 decision over
Justin Barowski at 165.
