AGGIES FALL AT ROWAN

GLASSBORO (NJ) -- The frontcourt tandem of Amanda Jennings and Michelle Lala combined for 46 points and 24 rebounds as Rowan University notched a 77-65 victory over visiting Delaware Valley College in a non-conference game.

The Profs (3-2) led for most of the first half and took a 37-29 advantage into the intermission. Delaware Valley (2-2) opened the second stanza with a 12-3 run, including a pair of 3-pointers by Brittany Battinieri, to take its first lead of the contest at 41-40 with 17:34 remaining.

Rowan got the lead back and was up two with 14:34 to go when it went on a 15-6 run to take a double-digit advantage. The Aggies never got closer than eight points the rest of the way.

Jennings finished with game highs of 27 points and 14 boards and she was nearly perfect at the foul line as she hit 11 of her 12 chances. Lala also had a double-double with 19 points and 10 boards. Danielle Rohe added 14 points in the win.

Battinieri and Jackie Shunkwiler scored 13 points apiece to pace Delaware Valley. Kim Vennera added 12 points and six rebounds while Jenna Peoples notched nine points and seven boards.
