WILKES-BARRE (PA) – For the second time in 48 hours, Delaware Valley College had little problem defeating a nationally-ranked team on the road as the third-ranked Aggies notched a 38-3 triumph at No. 19 Wilkes University.
The win improved Delaware Valley to 15-1-1 on the season. Seven of those victories have come against teams ranked in the Division III top 30, including Wednesday night's 46-0 blanking at 27th-ranked Messiah College. Since coming back from the Division III National Duals two weeks ago – where they finished third – the Aggies have wrestled five matches and have won them by a combined score of 226-15.
Friday's match began at 133 pounds where
Brandon Clemmer, ranked ninth in Division III, edged Josh Pauling, 1-0 to improve his record to 20-5 on the year.

Dale Fava followed with victories at 141 and 149 pounds respectively to give the Aggies a 10-0 lead. McCann (16-7) earned a 14-4 major decision over Donny Clarks while Fava (10-4) had a 4-3 decision over Erik Smith.
The Colonels (10-5-1) picked up their lone points of the evening at 157 pounds while James Hiestead blanked
Robbie Hickman, 2-0. However, the Aggies responded with two falls and two technical falls over the next four weight classes to take a commanding 32-3 advantage.
Justin Barowski, a transfer from Wilkes, notched a pin against his former school as he downed Richard Pellegrini in 3:56 to improve to 17-5.
Rocky Mantella, ranked fifth in the country at 174 pounds, upped his record to a perfect 17-0 thanks to an 18-3 technical fall victory over Frank Heffernan.
Mike Wilcox, last year's national runner-up and the current number two ranked wrestler at 184 pounds, notched a technical fall victory of his own, a 19-2 victory over Daniel Brown. Wilcox is now 22-2 on the season.
Delaware Valley's biggest win of the evening occurred at 197 pounds where
Jeff Siciliano pinned eighth-ranked Zach Pizzaro 56 seconds into the second period (3:56). The win was the 16th in 21 matches this season for Siciliano.
Returning All-Americans
