Recently married, Dayton (nee Vennera) enters her sixth year on her alma mater's coaching staff.
With Dayton on the sidelines, the Aggies have reached the MAC Freedom Conference semifinals and the ECAC quarterfinals in each of the last three seasons.

Dayton starred on the court from 2006 to 2010 as she was a three-time all-Freedom Conference honoree and the 2009-10 Freedom Conference Player of the Year. She finished her career as the Aggies third all-time leading scorer with 1,427 points. She was also second in steals (254), fifth in rebounds (676) and seventh in assists (266). She also set the school’s single-game scoring record as she poured in 43 points in a 2009 contest against Freedom rival DeSales.
Dayton shined her senior season as the 2009-10 Aggies went 17-10 overall and qualified for both the Freedom Conference and ECAC playoffs. She earned the top individual honors from the Freedom as she averaged 15.8 points, 5.7 rebounds, 3.3 steals and 2.8 assists per game.Â
