Corey Heulitt

Heulitt is entering her fourth season as head softball coach of the Aggies. Her first season with the squad produced two more wins in the Freedom Conference than the season before while Jackie Wear earned all-conference accolades for the third straight year. The 2015 edition was a young squad that featured 11 freshmen or sophomores on the 14-player roster.

Last year, the Aggies posted their highest win total since 2012, going 15-16. Two players earned all-MAC Freedom honors in Jamie Stefani and Kelsey Stoneberg.

Heulitt came to Delaware Valley after a two-year stint as head coach of Division III Rosemont College. She won 14 games, including 10 in the competitive Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC), during that time. That overall total placed Heulitt second on the school’s all-time victory list while the seven wins in her first campaign was the most the program had tallied since 2005. Heulitt saw 10 of her players named to the CSAC All-Academic Team over the two seasons.

Prior to Rosemont, Heulitt was an assistant softball coach at her alma mater, Council Rock South High School from 2009 to 2011. Her coaching career began in 2005 as an active volunteer and clinic instructor/coordinator with the Northampton Softball Association and she still holds that position.

Heulitt played at Division II Dominican College from 2005 to 2007 and was a two-time National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Academic All-American. She transferred to Penn State University in 2008 (did not continue to play due to shoulder problems) and received a bachelor of arts degree in psychology in 2009.
