Needing a top performance to qualify for the NCAA Championships, Pitts did just that as he ran the 100-meter dash in 10.64 seconds in the preliminaries of the ECAC Championships. That marked the 16th-best time in the country for the season (top 20 qualify for nationals). He then placed third in the ECAC finals.
