Thomas had another big week, this time at the MAC Championships where he took first place in the men's long jump and the men's triple jump and was named field athlete of the year for the second consecutive time. In the long jump, Thomas broke the MAC Championships record, the school record and reached the best mark in all of division III this season with an astounding mark of 7.86 meters. He followed that up by breaking a 33-year-old school record with his first and only triple jump of the day as he went 15.18 meters.
