Thomas competed in back-to-back meets in the Lehigh Valley over the weekend beginning with the Muhlenberg College Invitational on Friday on wrapping up with the John Covert Classic at Lehigh University. Over the two days, Thomas accumulated three first-place finishes on Friday and a top-10 showing on Saturday. His most impressive mark came in the triple jump where he recorded a leap of 48 feet, 0.75 inches. That ranks sixth in Division III this season. Thomas also won the high jump with a mark of 6 feet, 0.75 inches and the long jump with a distance of 23 feet, 7.25 inches. He already owns the national's top long jump mark, but this week's showing also ranks fourth in Division III. On Saturday, he placed ninth in the long jump with a mark of 6.60-meters.Â
