Ambacher went 5-0, including a pair of wins over nationally-ranked wrestlers, and captured the 141-pound championship at the New Standard Corporation Invitational. He knocked off opponents that were ranked as high as third and 10th in Division III in the quarterfinals and semifinals and then posted a 4-1 decision in the finals.
