Pitts was named the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Male Indoor Track Athlete of the Year as he captured both the 60-meter and 200-meter dash titles at the MAC Championships. He ran the 60 in 6.92 seconds and was clocked in the 200 at 22.55 seconds. The first place finish in the 60 was Pitts' sixth title in six meets this year.
