SWARTHMORE (PA) -- Delaware Valley University's
Ta'riq Thomas was the top college finisher in both the long jump and the triple jump while
Jacob Hart also competed at the Swarthmore College Final Qualifier on Monday.
Thomas defeated 24 competitors in the long jump as he tied his season-best mark with a leap of 23 feet, 3.5 inches. That mark has him ranked 32nd in Division III as the junior looks to get into the top 20 and qualify for the NCAA Division III Championships.
Thomas is a virtual lock to make a third outdoor trip to the NCAAs in the triple jump as he maintained the seventh-best mark in Division III with a personal best 48 feet, 10 inches. That mark placed him second at the meet, trailing only a member adidas Garden State Track Club. Thomas is a three-time All-American in the triple jump, including a third-pace finish at last year's outdoor championships and a runner-up showing at this season's indoor national event.
Hart took part in the 800-meter run and the sophomore finished in a time of 2 minutes, 8.26 seconds.
