DOYLESTOWN (PA) -- The Delaware Valley University women's track and field team sent a limited number of athletes to compete at the Fast Times Before Finals meet hosted by Lehigh University on Friday and Saturday. There was no team scoring at the event.
There were many schools and student-athletes at the event across all divisions of the NCAA.
The Aggies only competed in the 60-meter and 200-meter dash. Freshman Nina Dellarte led the squad in both events. She placed 15th out of 35 competitors, but took fourth out of division-III runners, in the 60-meters as she clocked a time of 8.33 seconds. Fellow rookie
Abigail Fauske crossed the line at 8.58 seconds.
In the 200-meters Dellarte finished 21st out of 61 student-athletes with a time of 27.62 seconds. Fauske finished in 36th place with a time of 28.46 seconds and another freshman, Kaitlyn Magee, crossed the line in 32.40 seconds.
The Aggies are off for the holidays and will return to action on January 20 when they travel to Ursinus College for the Collegeville Classic.
