ANNVILLE (PA) –Delaware Valley University senior Ta'riq Thomas was selected as the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week for the period ending December 3.
 
Thomas won both the long jump and the triple jump while competing against a number of Division I student-athletes at the Lehigh University Season Opener. Thomas took the long jump crown and set a school record with a leap of 24 feet, 0.25 inches, a mark that is top in the country by almost a foot through the first week of the season. The reigning national runner-up then won the triple jump with a mark of 47 feet, 7 inches for the second-best mark in Division III.
 
Thomas and his teammates will return to Lehigh University for the Fast Times Before Finals meet on December 8 and 9.
