GALLOWAY (NJ) – Delaware Valley University senior
Sara Chamberlain had a top 50 finish as the Aggies placed 12
th out of 20 teams at the Osprey Open hosted by Stockton University.
DelVal recorded 325 points on the day as it had seven runners at the meet, but the top five count towards the team standings. The host school won the event with 34 points followed by Division II Philadelphia University (70).
Chamberlain, who finished as the runner-up on her home course at the DVU Invitational last Saturday, placed 44
th out of 190 runners this week as she ran the 6K in 26 minutes, 2.10 seconds.
Rachel Landis took 60
th with a time of 26 minutes, 38.20 seconds while Anastasi Zajchowski was just four spots behind as she was clocked at 26 minutes, 45.04 seconds.
Sam Landers (28:54.37) and
Julia Hellriegel (29:20.65) placed 120
th and 127
th respectively while
Megan Davidson (35:58.84) and
Ashley Vinica (51:01.63) also competed for the Aggies.
DelVal will take part in the Lehigh University Paul Short Run on Saturday, October 1 (9:30 a.m.).
