BETHLEHEM (PA) – The Delaware Valley University men's cross country team finished in 28
th place out of 34 squads at the 43
rd Annual Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh University.
The Paul Short run is one of the largest cross country meets in the nation with approximately 6,000 athletes from nearly 450 colleges and high schools competing this year. DelVal took part in the College Men White 8K race and registered a four-man team score of 736. SUNY Cortland had 87 points to take home the team crown.
Individually for the Aggies, freshman
Zach Loomis was the top placewinner once again as took 95
th out of 266 competitors with a time of 28 minutes, 25 seconds. Fellow rookie
Colton Titus was 156
th with a time of 29 minutes, 59 seconds while sophomores
Jacob Hart (173
rd – 30:28) and
Mitchell Stage (200
th – 32:00) rounded out the team scoring. Junior
Kris Kline (223
rd – 33:09) and freshman
Kevin Naviloff (228
th – 33:29) also ran the course for DelVal.
Gettysburg College's Ben Taber was the individual champion with a time of 25 minutes, 39 seconds.
The Aggies will compete at the DeSales University Invitational next Saturday, October 8 (10:30 a.m.).
