ResultsCOLLEGEVILLE (PA) – The Delaware Valley University women's track & field team opened up the indoor season at the Bow Tie Classic hosted by Ursinus College on Saturday.
There was no team scoring at the event. Sophomore
Kat Przybylowski tied for second place in the high jump with a height of 4' 9". She also took seventh (14-9.75) in the long jump. Freshman
Aliyah Mallak had a seventh place as well in the 400 meters (1:05.92).
Senior
Samantha King threw the shot put 35' 3.75" for sixth place. Senior
Samantha Will ran a time of 5:43.30 in the one mile and finished sixth. She also placed 18
th (2:38.69) in the 800 meters. Junior
Sara Chamberlain had a pair of top-20 finishes, taking ninth (20:40.14) in the 5000 meters and 11
th (12:03.07) in the 3000 meters.
Freshman
Kayla Evans crossed the line 12
th (1:07.60) in the 400 meters and freshman
Rachel Landis was 16
th (12:56.13). The Aggies took ninth (4:56.79) in the 4x400 meter relay with the team of Will, Przybylowski, Chamberlain and Mallak. Freshman
Angela Cabral, Evans, Mallak and Przybylowski placed 11
th (2:03.58) in the 4x200 meter relay.
DelVal's next meet is the Angry Birds Invitational at Lehigh University on Saturday, January 16 (10:00 a.m.).
