DALLAS (PA) – The Delaware Valley University women's cross country team finished in 14
th place out of 16 squads at the 2015 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Championships hosted by Misericordia University.
The Aggies racked up a team score of 395 points to top Albright College (401) and FDU-Florham (461). The host Cougars captured the championship with 45 points, four better than runner-up Misericordia University.
DelVal had seven runners compete with five counting toward the team score. The top finisher was junior
Sara Chamberlain as she was 47
th out of 164 competitors with a 6K time of 25 minutes, 59.15 seconds. Chamberlain has improved her conference standing each year as she was 99
th as a freshman and 61
st as a sophomore.
Senior
Samantha Will, who has a year of eligibility remaining but is graduating early, took 67
th place with a time of 26 minutes, 34.11 seconds. Freshmen
Rachel Landis (123
rd – 29:13.42),
Julia Hellriegel (145
th – 31:11.36) and
Emmy Dallam (149
th – 31:51.60) completed the team scoring for the Aggies. Freshman
Megan Davidson (152
nd – 32:29.94) and junior Dana Kilgarriff (159
th – 34:56.19) ran the meet as well.
DelVal will have the week off from competition before heading to the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional Championships at Dickinson College on Saturday, November 14.
