DELVAL CROSS COUNTRY TEAMS HIT THE COURSE AT PAUL SHORT RUN

BETHLEHEM (PA) – The Delaware Valley men's and women's cross country teams brought limited runners to the Paul Short Collegiate Invitational at Lehigh University.  With just three women and two men running, neither squad qualified for the team standings.

In the men's 8K heat that saw a lot of top runners compete in the 225-man event, it was senior Jason Doll who was the first Aggie across the finish line in 197th place with a time of 32 minutes, 11 seconds.  Freshman Leo Shinohara was the other male to participate as he finished with a time of 36 minutes, 7 seconds.

For the women's 6K, there were 309 competitors and Delaware Valley sophomore Samantha Will was able to crack the top 100 with a 24-minute, 52-second finish, good enough for 98th place.  The second Aggie behind Unger was sophomore Sara Chamberlain with a time of 26 minutes, 30 seconds and a 196th place finish.  Senior Stephanie Unger finished in 266th place with a time of 29 minutes flat.

Ramapo College took home first place in the men's team results with 76 points while the women's team title went to Rensselaer Polytechnical which scored 112 points.
