CENTER VALLEY (PA) –The Delaware Valley College women's cross country team took home 15th place out of 16 squads at the 2013 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Championships which were hosted by DeSales University.
The Aggies, as a team, finished just ahead of FDU-Florham with 427 points. It was Elizabethtown College which earned the team title as the Blue Jays placed two runners in the top five and finished with 35 points. Runner-up Lebanon Valley College had 85 points.
Freshman
Samantha Will had a strong debut in the conference championships as she was the first of the Delaware Valley runners to complete the 6K race. Her time of 26 minutes, 44.41 seconds was good enough for 55th place out of 150 runners.
The next best Aggie was fellow rookie
Sara Chamberlain who snuck in the top 100 with a 99th place finish and a time of 28 minutes, 49.43 seconds. Senior
Stephanie Unger was 128th with a time of 31 minutes, 13.34 seconds while senior
Laura Ludwig (33:24.38) and freshman
Lily Beattie (38:24.58) were 140th and 150th respectively.
Lebanon Valley's Kelsey Patrick crossed the finish line first with a time of 22 minutes, 16.3 seconds to win the MAC individual crown.
