Women's Cross Country

AGGIE CROSS COUNTRY TEAMS COMPETE AT DESALES INVITATIONAL

CENTER VALLEY (PA) – Both the Delaware Valley College men's and women's cross country teams finished in 20th place at the DeSales University Invitational.

The men's race had 20 teams compete while the women had 22 squads. Susquehanna University took home the men's title at its 46 points was eight better than Division II East Stroudsburg University. The women's race saw Division II Kutztown University crowned as champions as it 50 points easily topped runner-up Richard Stockton College (91 pts).

Individually for the Aggies, Andrew McMillan was the top finisher on the men's side as his 8K time of 29 minutes, 17.09 seconds placed him 107th out of 276 runners. Jason Doll was 173rd with a time of 31 minutes, 17.21 seconds while Chris Beard took 228th (33:22.72). Sam McCaffrey (249th - 35:04.00), Patrick Hastings (259th – 36:46.44) and Joshua Byrnes (269th – 40:21.30) rounded out the Delaware Valley lineup.

For the women, freshman Samantha Will continued his strong rookie campaign as she was clocked at 26 minutes, 53.17 seconds and placed 81st out of 248 runners. Sara Chamberlain ran the 6K course in 28 minutes, 24.78 seconds to finish 129th and Emmarose Boyle was 175th with a time of 30 minutes, 8.70 seconds. Stephanie Unger (185th – 30:47.48), Laura Ludwig (231st – 34:47.01) and Lily Beattie (241st – 37:15.94) also competed for the Aggies.
