COLLEGEVILLE (PA) – Returning All-Americans
Tom Masterson and
Travis Pitts notched first-place finishes to highlight Delaware Valley College's showing at the Collegeville Indoor Classic hosted by Ursinus College. The Aggie men placed 10th out of 14 teams while the women were 12th out of 15.
Masterson topped the field in the long jump as the senior was recorded at 21 feet, 7.25 inches. Pitts, also a senior, ran against 51 other competitors in the 60-meter dash and he broke the tape at the finish line with a time of 7.12 seconds. Delaware Valley's remaining point on the men's side was in the 4X100 relay where Pitts,
Naadir Betts,
Charles Logue and
Alan Wilson took eighth (1:39.50).
It was a returning All-American that had the best showing on the women's side as well as two-time national placewinner (once indoor, once outdoor)
Meghan Donovan was second in the high jump. The senior cleared the bar at 5 feet, 3.75 inches.
Alexis Maylor finished third in the long jump (16-5.25) while the distance medley team of
Tracey Forsythe,
Stephanie Unger,
Shelby Garner and
Alisha Jordan placed seventh with a time of 14 minutes, 2.88 seconds.
Rowan University took the men's crown with 94 points while Georgian Court University had 95 points for the top spot on the women's side.
