DOYLESTOWN (PA) – Delaware Valley College senior
Caitlin Dorgan has been picked as the Middle Atlantic Conference Women's Cross Runner of the Week Award for the period ending September 5.
It is the first year that the conference is selecting weekly honors for the sport of cross country and it is only appropriate that the inaugural recipient is Dorgan. The 2009 MAC runner-up and NCAA qualifier – the first in Delaware Valley women's cross country history – blew away the field of 195 runners and successfully defended her individual championship at the Delaware Valley Invitational. Her course time of 23 minutes, 26.96 seconds was nearly 31 full seconds faster than the runner-up at the event.
Delaware Valley will next compete at the Smith College Invitational on Saturday, September 11.
