DOYLESTOWN (PA) – Delaware Valley College junior goalkeeper Hollis Hancock has been named the Freedom Conference Field Hockey Goalkeeper/Defender of the Week for the period ending September 5.

Hancock, who earned a spot on the all-conference second team last season, opened the 2010 campaign by allowing just one goal and notching 10 saves in three games. She had seven stops in 3-0 shutout at Albright College last Wednesday and followed with three saves in a 1-0 loss to Stevenson University on Saturday. Hancock was then in goal for the first half and shared a shutout in an 11-0 win over College of Notre Dame (Md) on Sunday.

Delaware Valley is 2-1 overall and has its home opener against Gwynedd-Mercy College on Thursday, September 9.
