18 AGGIES NAMED TO MAC SPRING ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM

DOYLESTOWN (PA) -- Delaware Valley College recently placed 18 of its student-athletes on the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Spring All-Academic Team.

The Aggie women's outdoor track and field team led the way with six honorees while the baseball team had five. The softball squad had four players on the list while the men's outdoor track and field team and the golf team had two and one honorees respectively.

The six women's indoor track and field team honorees were senior Amanda Barr (Strasburg, PA/Lampeter-Strasburg/Zoo Science); juniors Jennifer Alderfer (Souderton, PA/Pennridge)/Business Administration), Tabitha Balutis (Bendersville, PA/Biglerville/Large Animal Science and Pre-Vet) and Meghan Tyman (Holliston, MA/Norfolk/Large Animal Science);and sophomores Brittany Lehman (Chambersburg, PA/Chambersburg/Equine Science and Management) and Rachelle Salem (Lebanon, PA/Lebanon/Biology).

Members of the baseball team who were honored were seniors Chris Albaugh (Drexel Hill, PA/Monsignor Bonner/Business), Mike Cavallaro (Andover, NJ/Lenape Vally/Biology) and Dylan Saldutti (Lansdale, PA/Lansdale Catholic/Business Administration), junior Kellen Jarrett (Pennsburg, PA/Upper Perkiomen/Accounting) and sophomore Spencer Smith (Hawthorne, NJ/Hawthorne/Sports Management)

The Aggie softball team was represented by seniors Lauren Fenstermacher (Mohrsville, PA/Schuykill Valley/Small Animal Science) and Bethany Pavlik (Lewes, DE/Sussex Tech/Equine Science and Management and Pre-Vet), junior Courtney Case (Clarksville, MD/River Hill/Large Animal Science) and sophomore Sarah Lazar (Flemington, NJ/Hunterdon Central/Small Animal Science).

Senior Chip Brumbaugh (Hatboro, PA/Upper Moreland/Ornamental Horticulture) and sophomore Travis Pitts (Tamaqua, PA/Tamaqua/Turf Management) represented the men's outdoor track and field team while sophomore Michael Kachurak (Mountain Top, PA/Crestwood/Turf Management) from the golf team was honored by the conference.

The MAC is comprised of the colleges and universities that compete in the Commonwealth Conference, Freedom Conference and Middle Atlantic Conference. To be named to the All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore in class standing and maintain a 3.20 or higher cumulative grade point average.
