ISGRO NAMED TO ALL-ECAC SOUTH FIRST TEAM

DOYLESTOWN (PA) – Delaware Valley College senior utility player Mike Isgro received the final honor of his standout career and he was named a 2010 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III South Region First Team All-Star.

It is the second straight year that Isgro earned all-ECAC honors as he was second team choice in 2009. Earlier this offseason, he was an all-Freedom Conference selection for the third year and earned a spot on the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Mid-Atlantic Region First Team for the first time.

Isgro started all 37 games this season and saw time at centerfield, first base, designated hitter and on the mound. He led the team in virtually every offensive category as he batted .467 with an .896 slugging percentage, a .506 on-base percentage, 63 hits, 11 doubles, 4 triples, 13 home runs, 42 runs scored and 55 RBIs. Isgro recorded a hit in 34 of the 37 contests, including 20 multiple-hit performances.

Isgro's home run total tied the Aggies' single-season record and he also placed in the top 10 in RBIs (2nd), hits (tied for 4th), triples (tied for 6th), runs (8th), batting (tied for 8th), doubles (10th). His name is all over the career lists as well, including home runs and RBIs where he is the all-time leader with 20 round-trippers and 137 RBIs. He also finished third in both hits (182) and triples (13), fourth in both runs (122) and doubles (32) and tied for 13th in batting (.364).

Isgro put up big numbers on the mound as well and is in the career top 10 in both strikeouts (8th with 137) and wins (10th with 13). He was an all-conference second team pitcher in 2008 and finished the 2010 campaign with a 2-5 record and 44 K's.
