DOYLESTOWN (PA) – Senior Mike Isgro capped one of the top careers in Delaware Valley College history as he broke the Aggies' all-time record for home runs and tied the single-season mark in the process in a doubleheader sweep of Penn State Brandywine, 6-5 and 10-6.

Delaware Valley ended the 2010 campaign with a 15-21-1 record while the Nittany Lions finished with a 15-11 mark.

Isgro batted in the leadoff position in both games and he notched a triple in the opening inning of the first game. He later scored and went 1-for-3 with two runs. He stepped to the plate in the first stanza of the nightcap and rocketed one over the fence for his 19th career home run, breaking the previous record of 18 by Brandon McCabe.

Isgro came up again in the second inning and hit a two-run shot to give Delaware Valley a 4-2 advantage. That home run was the 13th of the season and tied McCabe's mark from the 2004 campaign. Isgro finished the game 2-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBIs and his 2010 numbers included a .467 batting average, an .896 slugging percentage, 63 hits, 11 doubles, 4 triples, the 13 home runs, 42 runs scored and 55 RBIs.

In addition to the career home run record, Isgro holds the RBIs as he knocked in 137 runs in his four years. He ranks third all-time in both hits (182) and triples (13), fourth in both runs scored (122) and doubles (32) and 13th in batting average with a .364 mark. Isgro is also ranked second in every passing category following a football career that saw him start at quarterback all four years and lead the Aggies to a pair of conference championships and one trip to the NCAA playoffs.

The nightcap also saw seniors Chris Albaugh, Mike Cavallaro and Dylan Saldutti have solid showings. Albaugh made his first start of the year and allowed three runs over four innings while earning the win. Cavallaro pitched an inning of relief and did not allow an earned run. Saldutti went 1-for-2 with a double, three runs scored and two RBIs.

Delaware Valley rallied from a 5-2 deficit in the opener by scoring four times in the bottom of the seventh – all with two outs. Saldutti singled in one run while Isgro, who had walked, scored on an error to pull to within one. Following a walk, sophomore Jake Barben singled home two runs, including Saldutti with the game-winner. Barben was 3-for-4 in the contest.

Senior Sean Tappan went the distance and earned his 17th career win, tying him for fifth on the school's all-time list. He also matched a career-high of 10 strikeouts to move him into third in that category with exactly 200 K's. Tappan also finished second all-time in innings pitched with 224.
