HERSHEY (PA) – The Delaware Valley College golf team finished 11th out of 12 teams at the Elizabethtown College Blue Jay Classic held on the East Course of the Hershey Country Club (par 71).
The Aggies notched a four-man team score of 353. Messiah College recorded a score of 300 to just edge out Penn State Harrisburg (301) for the team crown. Albright College finished in third place with a 305.
John Selser paced Delaware Valley and placed 32nd out of 60 golfers with a 13-over-par 84.
Jeff Smith had a round of 86 to tie for 38th while
Mike Cavalieri was tied for 46th place with an 89.
Doug Schrader rounded out the scoring for the Aggies as his 94 placed him in a tie for 54th place. David Mosher also competed and was 56th following a round of 96.
Four golfers tied for the lowest round of the day as they all shot a 1-over-par 72. Chris Lawler of Cabrini College was awarded the individual crown based on the scores on the third handicap hole.
