DOYLESTOWN (PA) -- Delaware Valley College recently placed 12 of its student-athletes on the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Winter All-Academic Team.
The Aggie women's indoor track and field team led the way with seven honorees while the men's indoor track and field and women's basketball teams had two apiece. The men's basketball team had one player earn a spot on the list.
The six women's indoor track and field team honorees were senior
Amanda Barr (Strasburg, PA/Lampeter-Strasburg/Zoo Science); juniors
Jennifer Alderfer (Souderton, PA/Pennridge)/Business Administration),
Tabitha Balutis (Bendersville, PA/Biglerville/Large Animal Science/Pre-Vet) and
Meghan Tyman (Holliston, MA/Norfolk/Large Animal Science); and sophomores
Katie Adams (Bernville, PA/Tulpehocken/Zoo Science),
Brittany Lehman (Chambersburg, PA/Chambersburg/Equine Science and Management) and
Rachelle Salem (Lebanon, PA/Lebanon/Biology).
Representing the men's indoor track and field team were senior
Chip Brumbaugh (Hatboro, PA/Upper Moreland/Ornamental Horticulture) and sophomore
Travis Pitts (Tamaqua, PA/Tamaqua/Turf Management).
Members of the women's basketball team who were honored were sophomores
Stephanie Kraemer (Pitman, NJ/Pitman/Zoo Science) and
Missy Milanese (Philadelphia, PA/Archbishop Ryan/Sports Management.
Junior
Jason Goldheimer (Manalapan, NJ/Manalapan/Sports Management) represented the men's basketball team.
The MAC is comprised of the colleges and universities that compete in the Commonwealth Conference, Freedom Conference and Middle Atlantic Conference. To be named to the All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore in class standing and maintain a 3.20 or higher cumulative grade point average.
