DOYLESTOWN (PA) – Delaware Valley College junior guard James Jones has been named to all-Freedom Conference men's basketball second team in a balloting of conference coaches.

It is the second straight season that Jones has been honored by the conference as he was a first-team selection in 2009 after transferring in from Widener University. He placed in the conference's top 10 in six categories, including scoring where he finished fourth with an average of 16.6 points per contest. He was also second in assists (4.2 avg), third in free throw percentage (.822), fifth in both 3-point percentage (.418) and steals (1.6 avg) and ninth in 3-pointers (1.5 avg).

Jones scored in double figures in all but two games, including a pair of 30-point efforts against Rowan University and King's College. He also surpassed the 1,000-point plateau for his career, including his one year at Widener.

Delaware Valley finished the 2009-10 campaign with a 12-13 overall record and a 5-9 mark in the Freedom Conference.
