BETHLEHEM (PA) –
Meghan Donovan,
Caitlin Dorgan and Katherine LeHew had runner-up finishes in their events to lead Delaware Valley College to a seventh-place showing at the 2010 Middle Atlantic Conference's (MAC) Indoor Track and Field Championships held at Lehigh University.
The Aggies finished the day with 26 points to top Shenandoah University (25 pts), Albright College (13 points), Alvernia University (0 pts) and Manhattanville College (0 pts). Messiah College won the team title with 147 points.
Donovan took second place in the high jump for the second year in a row in the as the sophomore cleared the bar at 5 feet, 3.75 inches. Dorgan, the 2009 MAC runner-up and national qualifier in cross country, took second in the 5,000-meter run as the junior was clocked at 18 minutes, 32.69 seconds. LeHew, a sophomore was second in the 400-meter dash as she crossed the finish line in 1 minutes, 2.39 seconds.
Donovan and LeHew also teamed with
Kimmy Haines and
Jennifer Alderfer for the Delaware Valley 4x200 relay team that placed sixth with a time of 1 minute, 56.97 seconds. Alderfer earned the Aggies' remaining points as she also competed in the 400-meter dash and took sixth with a time of 1 minute, 4.54 seconds.
