ALLENTOWN (PA) – The Delaware Valley College women's track and field team crowned four individual champions and a relay title while the men had a trio of first-place finishers as the Aggies competed at the Muhlenberg College Indoor Invitational. Team scoring was not held at the event.
Caitlin Dorgan captured top honors in two events as the junior was first in the 800-meter run with a time of 2 minutes, 34.03 seconds and followed in the 1-mile run with a time of 5 minutes, 24.71 seconds. Dorgan was also part of the 4-x-400 relay team – which also included
Amanda Barr, Alisa Jordan and
Meghan Tyman, that topped two others with a time of 4 minutes, 48.76 seconds.
Meghan Donovan, who qualified for the NCAA outdoor championships in the high jump, took first in the indoor event as she cleared the bar at 1.63 meters.
Tracey Forsythe was tops in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 11 minutes, 38.01 seconds.
On the men's side,
Tom Masterson took home a pair of titles as he was first in both the long jump (6.67 meters) and triple jump (13.10 meters).
Travis Pitts crossed the 55-meter finish line first with a time of 6.60 seconds. He then missed out on the 200-meter run crown by just one-tenth of a second as he was clocked at 23.99 seconds.
Frank Visconti was the runner-up in the shot put with a toss of 13.68 meters.
