DOYLESTOWN (PA) – Delaware Valley College Caitlin Dorgan took top honors in the women's cross country race to highlight the Aggies' showing at their annual invitational.

Dorgan, a junior who missed qualifying for last year's NCAA Division III Championships by just one spot, crossed the 6K finish line in 23 minutes, 8.9 seconds to finish first out of 155 competitors from 15 different squads. Dorgan's showing helped Delaware Valley place fourth in the team standings behind Division II West Chester University, Franklin & Marshall College and Ursinus College.

Freshman Alisha Jordan had an impressive debut as she placed 16th with a time of 26 minutes, 15.3 seconds. Fellow rookie Tracey Forsythe (27:19.7) and senior Talesha Karish (27:59.5) finished 36th and 54th respectively while sophomore Margie Mote (28:20.9) rounded out the team scoring by placing 59th.

On the men's side, Delaware Valley placed 11th out of 17 teams at the invitation. Felician College took top honors while Franklin & Marshall and Richard Stockton College rounded out the top three.

Senior Chip Brumbaugh was the top Aggie finisher as his 8K time of 28 minutes, 17.6 seconds was good enough for ninth out of 160 runners. Fellow senior Kevin McCoy finished 36th with a time of 29 minutes, 48.4 seconds while freshman Thomas Porter was 68th with a time of 31 minutes, 14.4 seconds.
