Men's Cross Country

AGGIES COMPETE AT PHILADELPHIA METRO MEET

PHILADELPHIA (PA) -- The Delaware Valley College cross country teams competed at the Philadelphia Metro Invitational Meet held at Belmont Plateau. The Aggie women placed seventh out of 20 teams while the men did not have enough runner to qualify in the team standings.

Delaware Valley, which did not have two-time all-conferene runner Caitlin Dorgan on Saturday, finished with 226 points. Division II Philadelphia University won the women's invite with 43 points while Georgia Court University (58), Ursinus College (138), University of the Sciences (176), Nyack College (182) and Felician College (217) rounded out the top six.

Freshmen Alisha Jordan and Tracey Forsythe paced the Aggies by placing 22nd and 23rd respectively out of 177 competitors. Jordan had a 5K time of 21 minutes, 39.49 seconds while Forsythe was right behind with a time of 21 minutes, 40.20 seconds. Margie Mote (22:29.85) and Talesha Karish (23:11.60) finished 50th and 64th respectively.

On the men's side, Kevin McCoy was the top Aggie finisher as his time of 28 minutes, 46.78 seconds was good enough for 20th place out of 124 runners. Thomas Porter (29:46.59) was 36th while Steve Miller (31:24.25) placed 60th.
