DOYLESTOWN (PA) -- Delaware Valley College recently placed 23 of its student-athletes on the Middle Atlantic States Conferences (MAC) Fall Academic Honor Roll.
The Aggie women's cross country and women's soccer teams led the way as five players from each squad earned a spot on the list. The field hockey team followed with four honorees apiece while the football, men's soccer and volleyball teams had three players apiece.
Members of the women's cross country team who were honored were seniors
Amanda Barr (Zoo Science) and
Melissa Plourde (Food Service Management); junior
Meghan Tyman (Large Animal Science); and sophomores
Brittany Lehman (Equine Science and Management) and
Margie Mote (Food Science).
The five women soccer honorees were juniors
Elise Carpenter (Zoo Science),
Sam Loeber (Small Animal Science) and
Caitlin McQueen (Pre-Vet); and sophomores
Ariel Butera (Food Science) and
Kelsey Krammer (Small Animal Science).
Delaware Valley field hockey players who garnered the award were senior
Bethany Pavlik (Equine Science and Management), juniors
Katy Provenzale (Marketing) and
Holly Rich (Secondary Education), and sophomore
Erica Traynor (Small Animal Science).
Representing the Delaware Valley football squad on the MAC Fall Academic Honor Roll were juniors
Mark Alexander (Criminal Justice) and
Kellen Jarrett (Secondary Education), and sophomore
Eric Gimbar (Agribusiness).
The Aggie men's soccer team had three receive the conference honor in senior
Josh Oman (Biology) and sophomores
Mark Bucci (Zoology) and
Mike Caracciolo (Sports Management).
The three volleyball honorees were junior
Ashley Mikulsky (Zoo Science); and sophomores
Amy Estep (Zoo Science) and
Kaitlyn Olsen (Wildlife Management & Conservation).
The MAC is comprised of the colleges and universities that compete in the Commonwealth Conference, Freedom Conference and Middle Atlantic Conference. To be named to the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore in class standing and maintain a 3.30 or higher cumulative grade point average.
