DOYLESTOWN (PA) -- Delaware Valley College junior linebacker Kyle Gesswein (Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) and senior quarterback Mike Isgro (Galloway, NJ/Absegami) were recently honored by various hometown organizations for their standout seasons.

Gesswein was selected as the Division III Player of the Year by the Touchdoiwn Club of Southern New Jersey while Isgro earned the same award from the Brooks-Irvine Memorial Football Club of South Jersey.

Gesswein led the Aggies in tackles (98), tackles for loss (18), sacks (11) and forced fumbles (3) while also tallying four pass breakups, one interception and one blocked kick. He was named both the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) and the D3football.com East Region Defensive Player of the Year, and is an All-American candidate as well.

A three-time all-conference and 2008 MAC Offensive Player of the Year honoree, Isgro finished his career as Delaware Valley second all-time leader in every passing category including completions (610), yardage (7,336) and touchdowns (61). He was also second in career total offense with 8,621 yards.  In 2009, he completed 152 of 262 passes for 1,933 yards, 15 touchdowns and just six interceptions while also rushing for 260 yards and three scores.

Gesswein and Isgro helped the Aggies finish the 2009 campaign with a 10-2 overall record and their second straight MAC championship thanks to a perfect 7-0 mark in league play. They then advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division III playoffs.
