DOYLESTOWN (PA) – Delaware Valley College, ranked 11th in Division III, improved to 4-0 on the season with a 31-6 victory over defending junior college national champion and top-ranked Nassau Community College and a 29-3 triumph over Gloucester County College. Nassau blanked Gloucester, 38-0, in the remaining match.

In the match against Nassau (1-1), the Aggies won eight of 10 weight classes, including the first four of the contest. Former Nassau wrestler Dan Daddino opened things up with a 7-5 decision over Jules Doliscar at 174 pounds and Martin Porter followed with a 6-4 overtime decision over Anthony Lupi at 184. Jeff Sicliano, ranked 10th in Division III at 197 pounds, earned an 11-3 major decision, while J.D. Zitone had a 3-0 shutout at heavyweight for a 13-0 Delaware Valley lead.

The Lions won two of the next three weights with Eric McCann's 4-2 decision at 133 earning the Aggies points in that run. Delaware Valley finished the match with three straight wins, including the first fall as Dale Fava rallied from a deficit and pinned Travis Donor with 42 seconds remaining (6:18) at 149. Jesse Harrington, ranked sixth in Division III at 157 pounds, took a 4-1 decision over Lance Wade and Justin Barowski picked up a win by injury default for the 31-6 final.

Delaware Valley then took on Gloucester (2-2) where the Roadrunners' Dan Lecoey registered a 5-3 decision over Anthony Webb at 174 for a 3-0 lead. However, the Aggies won the remaining eight weight classes (there was a double forfeit at 133), including a pin and a technical fall for the 29-3 victory.

Porter and Siliciano each picked up their second wins of the day with Porter taking another overtime decision, this one a 6-4 triumph over Dakota Moore. Zeke Pyle and Charlie Frankel followed for their first victories of the afternoon at heavyweight and 125 pounds respectively.

After the double forfeit at 133, Brian Kahill pinned Joe Manno with 54 seconds remaining in their 141-pound match-up. Emmanuel Ajagbe and Harrington had 6-1 and 6-4 wins respectively, and Barowski ended the match with a 20-4 technical fall victory over Howie Graber.
