MCCULLOUGH, SQUITIERE EARN MAC WEEKLY HONORS

DOYLESTOWN (PA) – Delaware Valley College sophomore safety Ryan McCullough (Cherry Hill, NJ/Northeast Catholic) and senior cornerback/returner Charles Squitiere (Philadelphia, PA/Roman Catholic) were named the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Defensive and Special Teams Player of the Week respectively for their performances in the Aggies' 45-16, title-clinching victory over Albright College on November 7.

McCullough notched eight tackles, one sack and one forced fumble to highlight a Delaware Valley defense that held the top-ranked offense in the conference to just 149 yards through the first three quarters as the Aggies built a commanding 31-0 lead. The sack and forced fumble occurred on the same play with Delaware Valley up seven in the opening quarter. The Aggies recovered the ball and scored four plays later. For the day, the defense recorded six sacks and three turnovers.

Squitiere added the exclamation point in the contest as he returned an Albright onsides kick attempt 36 yards for a touchdown. It was his third return for a score on the year as he notched a 90-yard interception return for a touchdown against Kean and added a 100-yard return of a missed field goal against Wesley. Squitiere also finished the game with 10 tackles.

Delaware Valley (8-1, 6-0) clinched the MAC crown and the conference's automatic berth to the NCAA Division III playoffs with the win. The Aggies will travel to Widener University for the regular-season finale on Saturday, November 14 (1:00 p.m.).
