DALLAS (PA) – Misericordia University scored three goals in the opening 20 minutes as the host Cougars registered a 5-0 shutout over Delaware Valley College in a Freedom Conference game.

Misericordia (6-4-3, 2-1-1) wasted no time in getting on the scoreboard as Jay-P Evans poked one in just 33 seconds after the opening whistle. Joshua Yoo followed off a Joey Scanlon assist at the 14:17 mark and Scanlon made it 3-0 off a feed from Chris Hummel. Yoo and Cody Harman added second-half tallies for the Cougars.

Misericordia outshot the Aggies (6-7-1, 0-4) by a 16-10 margin and also held a 6-1 advantage in corners. Andrew Loyd made three saves and picked up the shutout while DJ Meisiner and Steve Richtmyer combined for seven saves for Delaware Valley.
