DVC Invitational Results - Women

DOYLESTOWN (PA) – Caitlin Dorgan and Brittany Schwartz each placed in the top 10 on their home course as the Delaware Valley College women's cross country team finished in fifth place out of 20 teams at the DVC Invitational.

The Aggies racked up a total of 123 points and were surpassed only by Ursinus College (53), Swarthmore College (61), Gwynedd-Mercy College (120) and Georgian Court College (122).

Dorgan, a sophomore, finished second out of 169 competitors as she ran the 6K race in 23 minutes, 59.86 seconds. Schwartz, a junior, posted a time of 24 minutes, 54.23 seconds and crossed the finish line in sixth place.

Junior Meghan Hunsiker took 41st with a time of 27 minutes, 30.99 seconds while senior Sara Brown was two spots behind at 27 minutes, 33.41 seconds. Junior Melissa Plourde rounded out the Aggies scorers as she placed 50th with a time of 28 minutes, 0.70 seconds.

Ursinus' Christa Johnson took top honors at the invitational with a time of 22 minutes, 42.47 seconds.
